Neck liposuction fixes double chins and sharpens jaw lines. This type of liposuction removes excess fat from the neck and jowl area. The best candidates are usually people in their thirties and forties because of the elasticity of their skin which permits it to shrink down after the treatment.

The procedure requires only three small one-eighth inch incisions, one under the chin and one behind each ear. Bruising is minimal as the procedure is done using "tumescent" technique, during which saline solution, numbing medications, and epinephrine are injected beneath the skin. These injections compress and shrink blood vessels, reducing bleeding.
